Good news: the author of the Postgres/Ruby database adapter has published Windows gems to RubyGems. They are easier to install and update and now offer an improved feature set too.

My package has now become deprecated. You can still download the last version if you would like to.

MySQL/Ruby for Windows

The MySQL/Ruby database adapter for Windows is forthcoming — it’s floating about somewhere on my backup drive.

As a work around you can install MySQL/Ruby from RubyGems too, although you’ll miss out on Stefan Kaes’ performance improvements.
